বিভিন্ন সামাজিক মাধ্যম গুলির মধ্যে স্কাইপ অনেক জনপ্রিয় একটি মাধ্যম।প্রয়োজনীয় ডাটা আদান প্রদানে অনেকেই স্কাইপকে সহজ বা নিরাপদ মনে করেন।খুব সহজেই এর মাধ্যমে ডাটা আদান প্রদান করা যায়।কিন্তু সব সময় বা হঠাৎ জরুরি কোন কাজে স্কাইপে লগইন করা একটু ঝামেলার মনে হয়।

এ সেবা ব্যবহার করতে স্কাইপ ডটকমে গিয়ে ব্যবহারকারীর নাম লিখতে হবে। এরপর কথোপকথনের একটি লিংক পাবেন ব্যবহারকারী। এ লিংক থেকে আলোচনা শুরু করা যাবে। লিংকটি ব্যবহার করে কোনো ব্যক্তি বা গ্রুপের সঙ্গে চ্যাট শুরু করা যাবে। যিনি এ লিংক পাবেন, তিনিও চাইলে সাইন ইন না করেই আলাপ করতে পারবেন।

সব ধরনের কাজেই এখন স্মার্টফোনের ব্যবহার।গান শোনা, গেইম খেলা সব ধরনের কাজেই মোবাইল ফোনের ব্যবহার বেড়েছে।চিকিৎসা বিজ্ঞানের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কাজে ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছে Smartphone। ওয়াশিংটন স্টেট ইউনিভার্সিটির একদল গবেষক দাবি করেছেন ক্যান্সার সনাক্ত করার ক্ষেত্রে এখন কাজে লাগবে স্মার্টফোন।
নানা কাজে এখন স্মার্টফোনের ব্যবহার।বিভিন্ন ধরনের অ্যাপসের মাধ্যমে করা হচ্ছে বিভিন্ন কাজ।সিনেমা দেখা, টাকা লেনদেন সব ধরনের কাজেই ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছে স্মার্টফোন।স্মার্টফোনের উপর গবেষনা করে বিভিন্ন জিনিস উদ্ভাবন করছে গবেষকরা।এবারও এমন কিছু করে দেখানেল ওয়াশিংটন স্টেট ইউনিভার্সিটির গবেষকরা।ক্যান্সার সনাক্তকরনে কাজ করবে এবার স্মার্টফোন এমন তথ্য দিয়েছেন তারা।

ক্যান্সার সনাক্তকরনের জন্য তারা সহজে বহন করা যায় এমন একটি ল্যাবরেটরি তৈরি করেছেন,জানিয়েছেন গবেষকরা।
বিভিন্ন ধরনের নমুনা পরীক্ষা করে প্রথম সারির ল্যাব গুলির মতই ক্যান্সার বায়োমার্কারকে সনাক্ত করতে পারে এই ল্যাবরেটরি।ওই গবেষকদল আটটি চ্যানেলের স্মার্টফোন স্পেকট্রোমিটার তৈরি করেছেন, যা মানুষের ইন্টারলিউকিন-৬(আইএল-৬) সনাক্ত করতে পারে।

আর এই আইএল-6 হলো মূলত ফুসফুস, প্রস্টেট, লিভার, স্তন ও এপিথেলিয়াম ক্যান্সারের বায়োমার্কার। এ ব্যাপারে মূল গবেষক লেই লি, যিনি ওয়াশিংটন স্টেট ইউনিভার্সিটির মেকানিক্যাল অ্যান্ড মেটারিয়ালস ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং স্কুলের অ্যাসিস্ট্যান্ট প্রফেসর হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করছেন।

তিনি জানান, যে সব হাসপাতাল বা ক্লিনিকে ‘অন সাইট ল্যাব’ নেই সে সব হাসপাতাল বা ক্লিনিক ছাড়াও প্রত্যন্ত এলাকায় তাদের তৈরি স্মার্টফোন ল্যাবরেটরি খুবই কাজে আসবে। আটটি আলাদা নমুনা একসঙ্গে পরীক্ষা করতে পারে এই প্রযুক্তি, যা সহজেই বলে দেয় ক্যান্সার আছে কিনা।

আপাতত আইফোন 5 -এ এই প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহার করছে। তবে গবেষকদের দাবি, শিগগিরই তারা এমন এক সিস্টেম তৈরি করতে চলেছেন, যা যে কোনও স্মার্টফোনে ব্যবহার করা যাবে।
