Where does the information come from?

Data is collected from tests run by NTUF application users. These are tests conducted under real conditions directly in the field. If you also want to join, all you need to do is download the Encruf app on your smartphone. The more data there is, the more elaborate the maps will be!

How is it updated?

The network coverage map is automatically updated every hour by a bot. Speed maps are updated every 15 minutes. Data is displayed for two years. After two years, old data is removed from the map once a month.

How reliable and accurate is it?

Tests are conducted on users' devices. Geolocation accuracy depends on the reception quality of the GPS signal during testing. For coverage data, we only retain experiments with a maximum geographic accuracy of 50 m. For bitrate downloads, this threshold goes up to 200 meters.

Does a pro tool exist for map scenario coverage?

Yes. This tool is mainly intended for mobile operators. It is an existing cockpit that has already included Internet performance statistics from all operators in a country, as well as access to speed-test results and coverage information. This data can be visualized by applying filters by technology (no coverage, 2G, 3G, 4G, 4G +, 5G) over a configurable time period (for example the last 2 months). It is a great tool for tracking new technology deployments, monitoring competitors and identifying poor signal coverage areas.
