On April 18, 2023, Xiaomi will hold a launch event in China to introduce its flagship Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone. The company has also stated that the Xiaomi Band 8 smart band will be introduced at the event.

What the device will look like has been revealed by a teaser poster. The Xiaomi Band 8 still has a narrow frame runway screen and its previous long oval pill-like appearance. Straps will be available in a variety of designs, including those made of various materials. The Band 8 bracelet strap variant will have lugs that are narrower than those of the band 8, giving it a sleeker appearance.

For the wide strap variant, it appears that the Xiaomi Band 8 will currently be offered in three color options: Black& White, Green, and Yellow. The bracelet models will be available in Black and Rose Gold in the interim. The Xiaomi Band 8 with model number M2239B1 has previously been certified, and although there are no additional details mentioned in the teaser, they indicate that it will have Bluetooth 5.1 technology and a built-in DC 3.87V polymer lithium-ion battery.
