Xiaomi made the Mijia LCD Small Blackboard Color Edition available for crowdfunding at the start of the month. The slate is now formally available for purchase in China for 69 Yuan. Compared to the crowdfunding price, this price tag is 10 yuan more expensive.
As its name suggests, the slate can produce a wide range of colors, which is made possible by an especially created color liquid crystal panel. The Blackboard comes in two sizes 10 inches and 13 inches.
It allows for pressure writing, with the thickness of the handwriting changing with pressure. The sensing area, which is situated above the screen, can be used to quickly clear the blackboard. Since there is no backlight, handwriting is shown on the screen using natural light reflection.
According to the manufacturer, the screen is blue-light-free, allowing it to be used for extended periods of time by kids and adults of all ages. The board also only consumes energy when the data on it is being deleted.
