Bajaj Welcomes A New bike 150 In Its Lineup. Finally a smile appeared on the faces of many Pulsar lovers. Today their long wait has come to an end with the launch of the new 150 cc version of Bajaj. The new version has been launched with the name P150. The motorcycle comes in two variants – single disc single seat and twin disc split seat. The two models are priced at Rs 1.17 lakh and Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. It sits between the new N160 and the Pulsar 150 in Bajaj's lineup.

The new bike is powered by an air cooled 149 cc, single cylinder 5-speed gearbox engine. It produces 14.5 bhp of power at 8,500 rpm and 13.5 mm of torque at 6,000 rpm. It has been given a kick start. The weight of the bike is 140 kg and the fuel tank capacity is 14 liters.
The ground clearance of the P150 is 165 mm and the seat height from the ground is 790 mm. Talking about the suspension, it has a 31mm telescopic front fork and rear monoshock unit. For braking, 260 mm and 230 mm disc brakes are provided at the front and rear wheels respectively. Again it can be optioned in a single disc variant with 130 mm drum brakes.
The single seat variant appeared with a rear drum brake and a tubular handlebar. Whereas, the split seat variant offers a rear disc brake and clip on handlebars. The motorcycle will run on 80/100 front and 100/90 rear section tires with 17 inch alloys. The twin disc variant has 90/90 110/90 section tires.

The new bike features a semi-digital instrument console, borrowed from the N160. Where the gear position indicator and range indicator will appear. It comes with an all-LED lighting system, LED projector headlights, LED DRLs and LED taillights. There is also a USB charging port. The motorcycle can be chosen in a total of five color options – Racing Red, Caribbean Blue, Ebony Black Red, Ebony Black Blue, and Ebony Black White.

As a powertrain, the new bike has a 149cc single-cylinder engine. This engine is capable of generating 14.5hp power at 8,500rpm and 13.5Nm peak torque at 6,000rpm. For transmission, the bike has also been tuned with a 5-speed gearbox.
Lighter than the current model
The new bike has been designed in such a way that despite giving tremendous power, it weighs only 140 kg. This makes it 10 kg lighter than the existing Pulsar 150 model in the market.
