The development of Xiaomi's first-ever electric vehicle is already well known and has been formally confirmed, but more specifics like its design and specifications are still unknown. However, a recent report has shared leaked images of the design sketches for the upcoming EV model, which included some of its components. So let's take a look.

We had previously written about Lei Jun, the CEO and founder of the business, personally testing this car in the winter snow. This demonstrated that the car is far along in its development and is currently undergoing testing. The EV's first appearance now also reveals that the Chinese tech behemoth is collaborating with renowned automaker BAIC. For those who weren't aware, the business had founded Xiaomi Automobile in 2021 and had formally unveiled its EV model plans.

The first prototype, based on the BYD Han EV, was put to the test in July 2022, and the most recent sighting took place during a snow test. The Modena is the name given to the Xiaomi Car, and its design sketches were just recently leaked. This gives us a view of the bumpers on the front and back. The car has what appear to be small side air vents and an air intake in the middle, giving it a sporty appearance on the front.

A pair of oval-shaped headlights are also mounted on the front. The rear bumpers also have imitation side air vents in the same way. The design is also fairly straightforward and aerodynamic. At the back, there are no other noteworthy details. Although it was previously thought that Xiaomi and BYD were closely collaborating on this project, a list of suppliers that included BAIC as one of the company's suppliers and will be used to construct the body parts was also leaked.
