Ducati India (Ducati India) on Monday announced the launch of its off-roader motorcycle DesertX (DesertX) in the Indian market. The company has fixed the ex-showroom price of the new Ducati DesertX motorcycle at Rs 17,91,000. The bike is designed for off-roading in places like desert dunes, narrow off-road paths, gravel roads as well as hilly curves. Bookings for the bike have opened across all Ducati dealerships in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata and Chennai. The company has said that the delivery of the bike will start in the first week of January.

How is the engine?

the engine is strong. The Ducati DesertX gets a 937 cc Ducati Testastra 11° twin-cylinder engine with desmodromic distribution. This engine delivers 110 hp power at 9,250 rpm and 92 Nm torque at 6,500 rpm. The Ducati DesertX gets a vertical high-resolution 5-inch color TFT display which has been placed for good visibility while standing-up riding. This bike is specially made for off roading. The bike gets 21-inch tires at the front and 18-inch tires at the rear. Its ground clearance is 250 mm. Also, Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tubeless tires are available in this bike. Talking about the suspension, it has 46 mm up-side down forks at the front and monoshock at the rear.

Look and Design

In terms of looks and design, the Ducati DesertX Centro Style looks like a modern version of the 80s enduro motorcycles made by Ducati. The bike gets a 21-inch front wheel, which gives the DesertX a bold and adventurous look. The windshield is joined by headlamps and double full-LED DRLs designed on its surface.

In case one is traveling alone, the bike has an option to remove the passenger seat to create extra space. For those on longer journeys, it is also possible to add an additional 8-litre rear fuel tank.

The bike is equipped with six rise modes

The premium bike Ducati DesertX has 6 riding modes. Along with this, 5 inch color TFT and full LED lights have been installed. The DesertX, like all Ducatis, features advanced electronic devices aimed at safety and performance in all conditions. The seat height of the bike ranges from 845mm to 875mm. Apart from this, features like traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, cornering ABS, quickshifter up and down, cruise control are also present in the bike.
