The Q1 Pro, the company's most recent creation, was just unveiled by Keychron, a well-known name in the mechanical keyboard community. With one significant modification, this new keyboard expands upon the already well-liked Q1 model. The gasket mount design and aluminum housing of the Q1 Pro are both kept in the same sleek design as the original Q1.

However, it now provides the added convenience of being able to connect via Bluetooth in addition to a USB cable. This keyboard has an impressive 300 hours of battery life on a single charge. The Q1 Pro can remember connections for up to three devices, which is useful for those who like to switch between multiple devices.

Starting today, the Q1 Pro will be offered on Kickstarter. You can choose between a fully assembled model costing$ 194 and an entry-level model without switches or keycaps cost$ 174. Both options are offered in a range of color schemes, including black gray or white, even though the fully assembled model is only available in the US layout. When it is made available to the general public, the MSRP for the fully assembled model will be$ 199 and the bare metal version will cost$ 179. Shipping is anticipated in April.

While the Q1 Pro's wireless capabilities are unquestionably a game-changer, there are some drawbacks to take into account. When connected via USB, the polling rate drops from 1000Hz to 90Hz, which may be problematic for gamers. Additionally, RGB lighting is turned on and set to the lowest brightness when used wirelessly if the keyboard's battery life is reduced to 90 hours.

Keychron has experience making wireless keyboards, and its K-Series line comes in a range of configurations. Q-Series boards, however, are renowned for their high-quality construction. Keychron claims that the polycarbonate plate on the Q1 Pro enhances the overall typing sound, and the keypron K Pro brand switches in place of Gateron models. The keyboard is hot-swiping and compatible with three- and five-pin switches, and it has a customizable 75% layout, similar to most laptop keyboard layouts.

The fully assembled model includes two-tone PBT keycaps that are long-lasting and won't glow over time, as well as switches. Additionally, the keyboard has hardware switches for switching between OS layouts and extra keycaps for macOS or Windows machines. And Keychron is already in the lead when it comes to selecting a wireless keyboard. The Q1 Pro is likely the best due to its sophisticated features and practicality. As usual, we are eager to test out this new keyboard in its entirety.
