Samsung Galaxy Book2 Go 5G
Samsung today launched a version with connectivity of the Galaxy Book 2 Go 5G, presented earlier this month. this notebook finally takes advantage of the 5G modem included in the Snapdragon 7c+ Gen 3 processor to access sub-6GHz networks, since the first version was only available with Wi-Fi connectivity.
In addition to having the chip launched in December last year by Qualcomm, the new 14-inch notebook has military certification MIL-STD-810H and is very resistant. According to Samsung, it can face high or high temperatures, thermal shocks, vibration, low pressure and humidity.
Galaxy Book 2 Go 5G prices
Samsung will sell the new notebook with versions with 4 or 8 GB of RAM and with 128 or 256 GB of storage. On the line, the cheapest model is the Book 2 Go (Wi-Fi) with 4 GB and 128 GB, which costs 499 Euros (or R$ 2,774 in direct conversion).
The 5G version, with the same 4 GB and 128 GB, costs 649 Euros (R$ 3,613). The most expensive model is the Book 2 Go 5G with 8 GB and 256 GB, which costs 749 Euros (R$ 4,164). Of course, in Brazil, these prices would be (much) higher, but even so, the cost-benefit ratio seems interesting to me.
Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Go 5G specifications and design
Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Book2 Go 5G laptop, built on the basis of an Arm architecture processor. The novelty is based on the SoC Snapdragon 7c + Gen 3. It was introduced two years ago, but, apparently, the devices on it either did not come out at all, or the discussed laptop was one of the first. The company showed the Galaxy Book2 Go 5G at CES 2023, but the full announcement took place only now.
The novelty, in addition to the mentioned SoC, is equipped with 4 or 8 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of UFS memory and a 14-inch IPS screen with Full HD resolution. Also worth noting is Wi-Fi 6E, 5G support, with some versions offering dual SIM (including one eSIM), 42.3 Wh battery, two USB-C ports, one USB 2.0, and MIL-STD protection. -810H. The dimensions of the novelty are 324 x 225 x 15.5 mm with a weight of 1.44 kg.
The design of the laptop allows you to fold it, turning the display 180 degrees. Samsung does not indicate autonomy, promising only that it will be very good. It remains to be said that for a laptop they will ask from 500 to 750 pounds.
